Ali and Robb had to date and be engaged long distance for some time, but recently FINALLY tied the knot at the beautiful San Diego Temple, then celebrated afterward at the incredible La Jolla Women’s Club in San Diego! It was a gorgeous fall day at the San Diego Temple, and once Robb and Ali had their ceremony inside the temple, they were greeted outside by some guests, and Robb’s Marine Corps friends with a traditional sword arch, right in front of the majestic San Diego Temple. It was nothing less than amazing! I loved their kiss under the arch, and the traditional pat on Ali’s booty with a sword by one of the Marine Corps men as they exited the arch. Ha ha! Another fun tradition that we got to capture in the photos was the bride “stealing” the groom’s cap. The only way for him to get it back was to give her a kiss. (I’m 100% certain he wanted her to steal that hat alllll day long!)
After photos at the temple and finishing off at La Jolla Beach, we headed over to the reception at La Jolla Women’s Club, which was just a block’s walk from the beach! I love the theme they chose, which was “Lucky in Love”, and I adored the play on words that they did with Robb’s last name, Best. “Best Day Ever” was incorporated in their theme in signs, and even on pictures taken in the photo booth! I also loved the different shades of greens used, the 1,000 hand-made cranes displayed all over the reception area, lucky pennies, corn hole, horse-shoes, and a giant Jenga game. Ali even had SEVEN friends travel from SEVEN different states to be there for her wedding day. Everything about the day was perfect! I’m so grateful to Robb and Ali for choosing me to photograph their “Best Day Ever” and am so excited to share these photos with you!
